ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System
International standard for the Environmental Management System (EMS) with a specific focus on the commitment to environmental protection and the sustainability of our operations.
PEFC: Forest Certification Endorsement Program + FSC: Forest Stewardship Council
Our factories are PEFC / FSC certified, which attests that the wood purchased and used originates strictly from renewable and sustainable sources.
CO2 Neutral Policy – Greenhouse Gas Inventory
The carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of all our company's plants are studied, evaluated and audited annually, through DNV Certification in line with the ISO 14064-3: 2023 standard.
We are proud to attest that our CO2 captures consistently exceed our emissions, generating a positive annual credit and ensuring Madem is a CO2-neutral company.
In addition to the certifications and sustainability initiatives mentioned above, we have gone further to enhance our environmental commitment by installing biomass (wood pellet) lines in our factories in Bahrain and Brazil, where 100% of the wood waste generated during manufacturing is transformed into wood pellets, used primarily as biofuel.
