On March 21 Giacomello, Taffarel & Cia Ltda is established. The company started its activities as a wooden barrel manufacturer for the wine industry of the region. Approximately 30 collaborators were part of the company.
1952. It changes its corporation name to Taffarel & Cia Ltda.
It begins to be called Tanoaria Bento Gonçalves Ltda.

It changes its corporation name to Tanoaria Bento Gonçalves SA, barrels are first exported to Uruguay and countries in Central America.
The wine industry starts to change the wine packaging replacing the wooden barrels.
The corporation name becomes Madem SA Indústria e Comércio de Madeiras e Embalagens. They begin to produce boxes and plywood packing and wooden reels, in order to replace the wooden barrels.
The construction of the branch in Rio Negro, Paraná, is started, with a 3,800m² plant and a 10,000m² area for future expansion, manufacturing wooden reels in industrial scale. The first pinus seedlings are planted in Rio Negro and Mostardas, in Rio Grande do Sul.
